Ph : 4836903 The Murugan temple is located at one of the important palces of Chennai which very much known for the film industry . The Murugan idol looks like the idol in the hill temple of "Palani". The temple is famous for Lord Murugan festivals like "Thai Poosam","Pankunni Utharam" "Sura Samharam" & other MUrugan festivals.
Sri Kapaleeswarar Temple,       Lord Shiva, Mylapore Chennai - 4. Ph : 4941670 This Shiva temple at Mylapore is about 600 years old. This also has several stone carvings and has a tall gopuram ( tower ), filled with figures of gods and others, painted in bright colors and placed in several tiers. There are dozens of other interesting temples.
	Sri Ashtalakshmi Temple, Godess Lakshmi in 8 avatars,Beasant Nagar,Chennai-20 The temple is a beautiful specimen of modern art,has been constructed in 1976.Dedicated to Goddesses Lakshmi in various avatars.It is a single storey building situated at the shore of Bay of Bengal.The temple attracts various devotees.
Tirumala Tirupati Devastanam , Lord Venkateswara, Information Center , 50 Venkat Narayana Road, T - Nagar , Chennai - 17. Ph: 4343535 The Lord Venkateswara here looks like the idol in "Tirumala-Turupati". The poojas and Kalakabesakam done here are very famous.
