The Murugan temple is located at one of the important palces of Chennai which very much known for the film industry . The Murugan idol looks like the idol in the hill temple of "Palani". The temple is famous for Lord Murugan festivals like "Thai Poosam","Pankunni Utharam" "Sura Samharam" & other MUrugan festivals.

This Shiva temple at Mylapore is about 600 years old. This also has several stone carvings and has a tall gopuram
